In 2011 we took several photos of the new Salon St. Helena tasting room, which showcases the wines of both Harris Estate Vineyards and Jones Family Vineyards. We put these shots together for a very simple and functional WordPress page at salonsthelena.com, which includes a rotating gallery, custom theme design and all the relevant information for getting there or contacting them. The site makes for a good example of how photography can be used as the foundation of a site with very little else added!

We launched the site for Whetstone Wine Cellars in mid-2011. More information to follow soon!

In early August 2010, we finished work on the first phase of the Stone & Leather website. Led by biodynamic farming consultant Jeff Dawson, Stone & Leather is a unique company that makes fashionable belts and cuffs with the finest Brazilian quartz crystals and American made leather.
Using a template developed in conjunction with Taksu Media, the site also uses our product photography to highlight the unique range of belts and cuffs.

We are in the final stages of building a new website for Rammed Earth Works, a sustainable building consultant based in the Napa Valley. We won a competive bid for the project with the design proposal excerpted below; as you can see, the final design is a bit different but carries the same feeling over from the original mockup. The site isn’t up yet, but we will post it here as soon as it is.
Update: the Rammed Earth Works site is now live, check it out here!

In the summer of 2009 we began work on a new website for Ubuntu Restaurant in Napa, California. After collaborating with the chef, Jeremy Fox, for several months, we launched the site, which was received with high marks. The site integrates a Content Management System (CMS) which allows for easy updates to many of the pages. A blog and events page keep fans up to date and help to draw in new customers, and the menu page is easily updated by the staff.
As one of the original ideas for the site, I had the thought of using x-rayed vegetables and other objects for the site icons.

In the end, this proved not capture the rustic feeling that Ubuntu was hoping for, though we did get as far as shooting the x-rayed vegetables, which I hope to use for other projects down the road.
